Client Care
Turner Chambers believe in establishing a personal relationship with all our clients to fully understand the exact details of their particular situation, their individual needs and personal preferences.
This understanding, combined with our reputation for discretion, sensitivity and pragmatism has engendered an environment where we build long term relationships with our clients.
In order to ensure that we deliver to all our clients the service they expect we work to The Law Society Practice Management Standards and we will:
Use plain English when advising you
Highlight all the legal options available to you and recommend the most appropriate given your circumstances
Return your telephone calls as soon as we can - on the same day if possible
Deal with urgent correspondence as a priority and try to deal with all other correspondence within 48 hours
Arrange suitable appointments with the minimum of delay
Advise you of all costs prior to any expenditure
If for any reason you feel that the service you have received is not what you expect, then we want to know. All complaints are treated seriously and we investigate them with rigor and address any failings appropriately.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
At Turner Legal House, we don’t just understand that everyone is different, we know that these differences make us better lawyers and a stronger firm.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) are central to our culture and strategy, and Our Core Values underpin our inclusive approach to our clients, communities, and colleagues. We are committed to promoting an inclusive and equitable working environment that supports the growth and development of all our people. We also recognize the importance of improving access to the legal profession, and of investing in our local communities.
We know that these issues are complex and that there is no easy fix. We are clear that meaningful progress requires real investment and tangible commitment from all levels within our firm, particularly from our senior leaders.
We have a partner-led DE&I Strategy Group that oversees the development and delivery of the firm’s DE&I agenda. Our Strategy Group is chaired by Mr. Jonathan James Turner Head of our Employment and Regulatory Team and CEO. We also have a DE&I Adviser, who leads on the firm’s DE&I initiatives, and a specialist HR Data Analyst, Shelley Pattenden, who ensures we are able to utilize our data to inform strategy and monitor progress.
All of our people are given a DE&I induction, have ongoing access to DE&I training materials, and our senior staff have mandatory DE&I training targets and are asked to identify and meet a DE&I objective annually. The need for a demonstrable commitment to DE&I is also woven into each of our progression pathways.
We partner with a number of organizations and are part of a variety of initiatives, all aiming to foster a true sense of belonging and inclusion. You can read more about some of the projects Turner Legal House is involved in below.

CSR Policy
Welcome to our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Statement covering all of our offices
We are proud to publicly display our commitment to being a socially responsible business, both internally and externally. We believe that it is crucial for us to make a positive impact on the communities in which we work and on our stakeholders.
For us success is not simply about maximizing profitability as a firm. It is much broader than that, and it certainly includes being a responsible business. By this we mean that we must take care of those people and environments that we care about – our employees, our clients, the communities in which we work, and those charitable causes that are close to our hearts.
Our statement sets out some examples of how we, as a firm, act responsibly on both a corporate and an individual level. It also sets out our CSR policy in relation to the 4 key responsibility areas that we have identified:
Our people and our workplace
Our clients and our suppliers
Our local communities
Our local and global environment
We have formed a CSR Team whose remit it is to develop and implement our CSR policy and monitor its effectiveness and impact. This Team includes staff of different levels and from various offices.
We have established the Turner Legal Foundation which is funded by the firm to help pursue the charitable activities with which the CSR Team identify.
Everyone in Turner Legal House has the responsibility to implement but the CSR Team take a lead and speak if the policy is underplayed.
We try to nurture and encourage incoming and existing talent, expand our skills & experience, deliver excellent & friendly service, while ensuring that we are environmental responsible. We take the view that people are more likely to engage in CSR activities if they sense that the activities will be interesting, worthwhile and fun.
We try to work in a friendly environment, both in the context of our work and in our own communities. We do not want to control our people’s engagement as we understand not everyone wants to make their activities public but we think it important for it to be known internally & externally that Turner Legal House does take CSR seriously and we are proud of everyone involved. We want everyone to know we are proud of their achievements and the whole firm supports them. We encourage everyone involved in any activities to share photos and successes to encourage support from the firm.

Turner Legal House values its reputation for ethical behaviour and for financial probity. It recognises that over and above the commission of any crime, any involvement in bribery will also reflect adversely on its image and reputation. Its aim therefore is to limit its exposure to bribery by:
